Welcome to the enchanted world of Midwood

Immerse yourself in the Hudson Valley

Welcome to our secluded spot along the Hudson River. Midwood is a 14-bedroom historic home nestled among 75 acres of private land with one of the most iconic views of the Hudson River. The Midwood property was part of the original land grant given to Robert Livingston, The Elder, by King George I of Great Britain in 1686, and remained in the Livingston family until the 1980’s. Since then, Midwood has functioned as both a family home and a gathering place for notable events, bringing together luminaries from far and wide. The property is part of the Federal Hudson River Historic District, and Midwood’s land, main house and carriage barn are about as historic as a property can be in the Hudson Valley.

Midwood is perfectly situated off a quiet road, deep in a private wood. It is easily accessed by train (just 20 minutes to two Amtrak stations), and car (2.5 hours from New York City), and provides easy excursions to nearby Tivoli, Germantown, Hudson, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Catskill, Hyde Park and more. In addition to the main house, Midwood includes a pool, tennis court, and private riverfront access.

If you’re looking for a perfect upstate retreat, look no further than Midwood.
